Today I had a most inspiring and amazing day.
Brother Bill Wilding cfc and I attended the Edmund Rice Parade College in Bundoora Melbourne for their end of year assembly where we were presented with a cheque for over A$54K.
Matthew Casamento the head prefect whose team organised and coordinated the events for the boys to fund raise presented the cheque. Mrs Kylie Kuppe the Mission coordinator facilitated the school’s engagement and the school community supported the effort for St Theresa.
These young men carried buckets of water many times around their ovals simulating the water carrying in South Sudan,they walked in a long fund raising walk in solidarity with you and your patients sponsored by the kilometre and fund raised in all manner of ways.
They were inspired by what is being done at St Theresa by the Combonis, with support from ERFA and CMMB.
I thanked them on your behalf and assured them the funds would be put to good use.
